O³ Hybrid Technology: The O³ Hybrid series features O-Ports at 6&12 o'clock (as opposed to the original O³ series, which features O-Ports around the entire perimeter of the frame), providing an increased sweet spot and more stability for increased performance. By replacing the traditional pin-sized string holes with giant O-Ports, a super aerodynamic frame has been created with a more responsive stringbed. This increases the sweet spot by 54%, creating a Sweet Zone, which means you hit your best shots more often. What's truly impressive is that Prince did it all without enlarging the racquet head, increasing it's length, or adding weight. So it's easy to maneuver and quicker through the air.

The new O³ engineered racquets are created through a one step fusion process that utilizes the strongest structure known to man, the Arch, creating the frame's O-Ports. These O-Ports stabilize the racquet and provide total string freedom for a livelier response across the entire string bed. This eliminates the dead zone that traditional string holes create, giving players more consistency, greater stability and more confidence to hit their best shots more often. The O3 Hybrid Hornet MP is the racquet of my dreams. Before buying it, I had demoed the O3 Speedport White MP. It had speed and power, but no "feel" when hitting. The hybrid Hornet has the perfect balance of racquet speed, control, and power. Once I found my server, it was very precise, and I served several aces. For volleys and returns, I was able hit beautiful placement shots with ease. Spin and control was top-notch. Overall, this is not only a best buy, but the best racquet I've ever used!

The tennis racket was fine as far as I know. It was a birthday present for my son. He seems to be happy with it but has only got to use it once so far. The phone service when I ordered was very good and very helpful. I almost ordered from another company but could not get through on the phone and ordering was confusing. I am glad I went with your company. I have no complaints at all and would order from you again.

For the second year in a row a Prince Tennis racquet has received the coveted Tennis Magazine Editors' Choice Award, as Prince's O3 Hybrid Hornet was tapped for the 2006 Award in the publication's upcoming April issue. O3 Hybrid Technology is the latest game-changing innovation from Prince combining the best of ordinary racquet technology with O3 Engineering to produce racquets that provide improved performance for all levels of play.

Introduced in Jan. 2006, O3 Hybrid Technology was applied to Prince's popular Hornet and Shark designs adding depth to the line of O3 Engineered racquets. The O3 Hybrid Hornet is the perfect racquet for aspiring competitive players, maintaining the incredibly lightweight maneuverability of the Hornet with the expanded sweet spot of O3 Engineering which accentuates the racquet's forgiveness on off-center shots.

Tennis Magazine's review of the O3 Hybrid Hornet pointed out that it “is geared toward the heart of the tennis-playing population - intermediates and advanced players who want a medium-weight model . . . For the price and all-around playability, this racquet is as good as it gets.” Tennis Magazine's playtester reviews indicated that the O3 Hybrid Hornet possesses “an ideal blend of power and control at the baseline and net.” Playtesters were equally impressed when they received an “unexpected charge” even though they had missed the sweet spot toward the tip of the racquet. “When I mis-hit the ball, I ended up getting a surprising amount of power,” one 4.0 tester said. According to the review all playtesters were asked if they would purchase either the mid-plus or the slightly more powerful and lighter oversize, and “virtually all playtesters in the 3.5 to 4.5 range enthusiastically said yes. We can't think of a better stamp of approval,” the reviewer added.

O3 Hybrid Technology

O3 Hybrid positions the giant O-Ports at the six and twelve o'clock around the perimeter of the frame, expanding the sweet spot towards the tip, eliminating the dead zone in an area where most players mis-hit or experience decreases in power. The O-Ports also stabilize the frame giving players more control on off-center shots. This combination of sweet spot and stability allows players to take their game way past ordinary.
