Babolat Pure Aero + Tennis Racquet (Model #101254)

Babolat's now iconic Pure Aero + (Plus) is a spin machine with plenty of power.  Made popular by Rafael Nadal and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, this 2018 edition was previously called the AeroPro Drive Plus, and was a popular model for Babolat - for good reason.

The 2018 version of the Pure Aero + (Plus) has a 100 square inch head, a half-inch longer frame than the standard version, comes strung at 11.3 ounces - a good weight that delivers more plow-through on off-centered shots - and has a spin-generating 16x19 string pattern.  The 6 point head light balance gives the head of the racquet a feather-light feel and helps players whip it through the zone with ease. The FSI Spin Technology, or wider spacing of the strings at 6 & 12 o'clock, allows for maximum string movement, and thus, snapback, which propels the strings upward, creating massive RPS (Revolutions Per Second - aka SPIN!). The Aeromodular 2 shape of the frame was strategically engineered to reduce wind drag, resuling in faster swing speed.  The result is ample access to the spin, speed and power advanced players are after when hitting deep, penetrating shots with heavy, heavy topspin.

It truly is a spin machine!

Suited for players with full strokes.
(See "Specifications" tab for more detailed racquet information)

New Pure Aero Technologies:

Babolat Aero Modular 3 Technology Tennis Rackets Racquet Spin AEROMODULAR 2 - AERODYNAMIC FRAME: An aerodynamic frame shape at the throat, head, and shaft of the racket which reduces wind drag, resulting in greater swing speed and maneuverability.
Babolat Pure Aero 2019 Cortex Pure Feel Technology Tennis Racket Racquet CORTEX PURE FEEL: A viscoelastic rubber layer is applied in between carbon layers, resulting in amazing vibration and shock absorption.
Babolat Pure Aero 2019 FSI Spin Technology Tennis Racket Racquet Rafael Nadal FSI SPIN TECHNOLOGY: FSI, or Frame String Interaction, is a more open string spacing between cross strings #5 - #12, resulting in a greater "bite" on the ball.  The grommets are oblong shaped (see image for reference), which allows the strings to move more and provide much greater snapback.  The result is a substantial increase in Revolutions Per Second - aka SPIN!
