The Head Auxetic Radical Tennis Racket family has been upgraded with state-of-the-art Auxetic technology for sensational impact, feel, and enhanced playability in the newest incantation of Head’s iconic Radical line that’s been used by some of the best pros in tennis history over the years.
They come in 4 distinct sizes: Radical Pro, Radical MP, Radical S, and Radical PWR - and each has been designed with a particular style of player in mind.
The Radical Pro is the heaviest of the family and works best in the hands of a crafty veteran player looking for a heavy frame (11.5 ounces), thin-beam and mid-sized head at 98 square inches, so he/she can really hit out on the ball and do most of the work.
The Radical MP is a half-ounce lighter than the Pro at 11.0 ounces, and also has a 98 square inch head and thin-beam geared towards control. Intermediate to advanced players will appreciate its precision shotmaking, and good maneuverability at that weight.
The Radical S is ligher than the Pro and MP at 10.6 ounces, and has a slightly thicker beam, which helps generate more pace. It also has bigger head size at 102 square inches than the Pro and MP. Players who spend time at net, and especially doubles-specialists will appreciate how easy it is to wield.
The Radical PWR has an oversized head at 110 square inches and is the lightest in the family at 9.8 ounces. Beginner to intermediate players with compact strokes will enjoy how much extra pace they can generate with this frame. It also has a very unique Adaptive String Pattern technology, which is an extra grommet adapter that comes with the racket and allows the number of strings to change from 14x19 to 16x19 when getting a new set of strings installed.
Features:
Innovative Auxetic technology for sensational impact feel
Modern blend of power, spin and control
Highly versatile for all-court tournament players
Bold, new, asymmetrical design
Technology:
Auxetic - Auxetic constructions show a unique deformation compared to non-Auxetic constructions. Due to their internal properties, Auxetic constructions widen when a “pull” force is applied and contract when squeezed. The bigger the applied force, the bigger the Auxetic reaction.
Sound Grommets - Sound grommets provide enhanced power via greater string movement and optimize sound and vibrations.
Variable Beam - The variable beam cross-section perfectly balances the power, control and spin of the racquet.
Graphene Inside - Strategically positioned in most Head racquets, Graphene strengthens the frame, provides greater stability and optimizes energy transfer from racquet to ball.
