Wilson Tennis Racquets
Wilson Tennis Racquets are an iconic name in tennis with models for players of all ages, levels, and swing type. Whether the player is a young child learning the game for the first time, or an advanced adult tournament player, there's a racquet for everyone.
Wilson Pro Staff
The Wilson Pro Staff line of tennis racquets includes the RF97 Autograph, 97, 97 Countervail (CV), 97L, 97L CV, 97L CV in Camo, 97LS, and Pro Staff 26 Junior. It is a popular line with that familiar "Pro Staff feel" and comes from the braided graphite frame construction, which spans multiple generations of tennis players. The braided graphite is an extra layer embedded into the frame that provides increased stability while dampening unwanted vibration and shock.
Now available with Countervail, a material born from the aerospace industry and used in Tour de France professional bikes, the CV frames are dampened even more so you can conserve extra energy going into the 2nd and 3rd sets. Players with arm issues will be especially pleased with its muted vibrational properties.
The Wilson Blade family of Wilson tennis racquets includes some of the best-selling performance tennis racquets in the world! There are a plethora of pros on tour using a version of this series, including the most dominant woman in tennis history - Serena Williams. The frames come with parallel drilling, which gives a more consistent and forgiving feel from the stringbed. The braided graphite and added basalt improves frame flex, giving these sticks an enhanced feel with superior control.
Now pre-strung for 2019, the Wilson Burn line of sticks have a more friendly price point, along with the high performance carbon fiber made famous by Wilson that increases the frame stiffness for extra energy return (more power!). They come with parallel drilling, which helps provide a more even feel across the entire stringbed. The Burns come pre-strung with Wilson Sensation, which is a multifilament string wth excellent playability, that's soft enough for arm-friendly comfort.
The Wilson Ultra line comes with Power Rib throat geometry which translates into increased power through greater stability and frame stiffness. The Crush Zone grommet system compresses upon impact, giving a boost to power and ball dwell time on the stringbed. The Hotspot, or most energy-returning part of the sweetspot has been increased by an extra 15%, and ball strikes on this part of the stringbed will see explosive power. Countervail material is available in some models and has been embedded into the frame for shock dampening and energy conservation properties.
Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.3 (110 sq inches)
Wilson Hyper Hammer racquets combine Hyper Carbon technology with Hammer technology that distributes most of the racquet’s weight to the head of the racquet. Just like the heavy end of a hammer helps concentrate power to drive nails or break rocks, hammer technology adds power to your shots without sacrificing maneuverability. It also provides a larger “sweet spot” area for better response. Hyper Carbon is a graphite technology that is four times stronger but 65% lighter than titanium. The 5.3 comes in a 110 square inch head and is extended by half an inch to make it 27.5 inches long.
Wilson Junior Tennis Racquets
Wilson Junior racquets have a large selection of models for young players under the age of 14. Since there is such a wide variation in the development of youth players, the emphasis on finding the correct Wilson tennis racquet is even more critical for this age group. There are models designed to make the introduction to tennis more fun for younger juniors, such as the Serena or Federer models. No matter how old, big or strong a youth player is, Wilson provides a racquet model that they will be able to handle as their tennis game progresses.
