Yonex EZONE 100+ Deep Blue Tennis Racquet (Model #LEZ06100)

Just like its shorter cousin, EZONE 100, the Yonex EZONE 100+ (315g) Blue Performance Tennis Racquet comes loaded with technologies that will be discussed in-depth below. It has a medium-thick beamed frame (23.5mm/26mm/22mm) geared towards intermediate to advanced players with an already competent game, who are looking for a stick that soaks up unwanted vibrations and shock, and provides access to ample spin and a pretty good amount of power (Rule of Thumb: thicker the beam, more power the racquet will provide), while still maintaining control on groundstrokes and volleys.

The strung weight of the EZONE 100+ (315g) is 11.1 ounces, and the heft and rather stiff (70) frame, gives it great plow-through on offcentered shots not in the sweetspot. These means you will get a more predictable trajection on your shots, even when you do not line up the ball perfectly. This is especially important for players whose footwork does not always cooperate, and find themselves out of position at times. Please note, stiffer frames can sometimes exacerbate arm issues, but the added technologies more than cancel this out with the EZONE 100+ (315g).

The 27.5 inch length of frame, 335 point swingweight, and 3 point head light balance provide plenty of stability, while giving the head a rather light feel to it. This helps when whipping the head ‘through the zone’ and imparting ample spin when necessary. The spin-friendly 16x19 string pattern means there are larger squares in the string bed, allowing more of the ball to be gripped, which ‘bites’ into it when brushing up and imparting heavy, heavy topspin.

The wider range of string tension than on most frames, 45 to 60 pounds, gives the player more variance on whether or not they need more power and spin, or more control. The rule of thumb is the stringbed works like a trampoline, and the lower tensions allow the strings to bend more, which slingshots the ball forward - just like a trampoline. The lower tensions allow the cross strings more movement, and the resulting snapback propels the strings upward on whippy shots, and this imparts even more spin. Tighter stringbeds, conversely, have more control and tend to keep the ball inside the baseline, even on imperfect swings and volleys - do not swing on your volleys - just punch!

This racquet performs best in the hands of intermediate to advanced players with medium-full strokes.

New EZONE Technologies:

Yonex EZONE Isometric Enhanced Sweetspot Tennis Racquets Do It Tennis ISOMETRIC ENHANCED SWEETSPOT: The iconic Yonex head shape, aka Isometric Design, increases the sweetspot 7% over that of a traditional, rounded head, because of the longer mains and cross strings towards the top of the frame.

Yonex ezone micro offset grommet layout tennis racquet do it tennis MICRO OFFSET GROMMET LAYOUT: The conventional design creates pinching or pressure points between strings and grommets, whereas the new straightened design allows for more string movement and a smoothed response. The result is more power with less unwanted vibration and shock.

Babolat Pure Aero 2019 Cortex Pure Feel Technology Tennis Racket Racquet QUAKE SHUT GEL AIR: Simply put, a shock absorbing gel, aka Quake Shut Gel, has been added to the handle to reduce unwanted vibration and shock, leaving you with more ball feel and energy going into the 2nd and 3rd sets. It is a noticeable competitive advantage that must be felt and experienced to truly understand.

Babolat Pure Aero 2019 FSI Spin Technology Tennis Racket Racquet Rafael Nadal SHOCKLESS GROMMET SYSTEM: The grommets at the bottom of the head have Quake Shut Gel embedded, which even further reduces shock and vibration. You can play multiple matches per day with these frames, and your arm will feel less fatigued, and certainly less sore the following day.
