Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Steam 105 S
The tennis racquet Wilson Steam 105 S is composed of a very open string pattern (16/15) to help generate maximum spin potential. This works great for players who hit the “flat” ball and who are looking to add more spin to their game without having to change their stroke.

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Juice Pro BLX
The Wilson Juice Pro BLX is a great tennis racquet choice for a player who hits a big groundstroke and an even bigger serve. I found this racquet to have a big sweet spot for only being a 96 square inch racquet and in turn found the Wilson Juice Pro BLX to be more powerful than I had anticipated.

Tennis Racquet Review: Dunlop Biomimetic F3.0 Tour
Let me start by saying that the Dunlop Biomimetic F3.0 Tour is a very good racquet choice for players above the 4.0\4.5 level who have games with multiple components. My one caveat would be that a player should already own a game that they are relatively happy with, not be in the process of trying to develop a serve or to change from a one-handed to two-handed backhand. Read more about this tennis racquet's strengths and weaknesses.

Tennis Racquet Review: Dunlop Biomimetic M5.0

Tennis String Review: Volkl Cyclone Tour String (red)
According to Volkl, this is a co-poly string which is designed to provide high levels of both spin and power. I think that is a very accurate description. There is a very soft ball pocket with this string and it was easy to both spin the ball and pound it with good levels of control and comfort.

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Three BLX
The WILSON BLX THREE is new for 2013, and is an update to their long-time ‘hammer’ series of tennis racquets. It also incorporates Wilson’s “Triad” design to maximize power, control, and comfort. Hammer racquets have always been popular with a broad spectrum of player styles and skills. Tennis Racquet Review: Babolat Aeropro Team
Babolat recommends this racquet for 3.5 players and I think that is the correct starting point. I think this is the perfect racquet for good junior players moving to their first adult frame. But I would encourage more experienced players to take a look at this frame. If this frame had been available that summer, it is for sure where I would have gone.

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Blade 98 (16x19)
No doubt this review will be read and\or interpreted as my taking shots at Wilson, but everything I write here can be applied to every one of the ‘top’ racquet manufacturers.
This racquet is A) Not at all a useful tool\weapon for serious players in my mind; and B) Indicative of the wild design and manufacturing quality swings that are almost routine these days even for the major companies.

Tennis Racquet Review-Wilson Four BLX
I had the most doubts about this frame when I first took them out of the box that they were sent to me in. The frame felt and looked thickish or truthfully very thick, and it seemed on first glance to be another one of those oversized snowshoe racquets that the companies pump out for the well heeled senior club market.

Tennis Ball Machines: The Ultimate Work-out Buddy for the Whole Family
According to Statistic Brain, three of the top ten New Year’s Resolutions are health improvement related. Gym memberships increase by 30% in January, as eager to get in shape individuals crowd into neighborhood gyms, waiting their turn on the treadmills and weight machines. Those who prefer working out at home to avoid the grunting, groaning, waiting, and sweaty odor of a crowded gym, opt to purchase home equipment; usually a treadmill for a more private work out in a more ambient atmosphere.

Tennis String Review: Wilson Shock Shield 16 Gauge
Wilson, one of the United State’s largest sports equipment firms, has a long history with racquet sports. Wilson Shock Shield tennis string was recently introduced and appears intended for players seeking comfort as their # 1 concern. Wilson Shock Shield is constructed with a hollow-core center that is filled with a shock-absorbing gel (Isozorb). This center core is then surrounded with a multi-filament outer wrap. Wilson Shock Shield is blue in color.

Tennis Racquet Review: Babolat Aero Pro Lite
The Babolat Aero Pro Lite is updated for 2013 with a new logo, graphics, and a physical design that creates an even quicker stroke. Continuing with Babolat’s high-visibility graphics and black/white/yellow scheme, the Babolat Aero Pro Lite is an attractive racquet. One benefit that I like is the fact that as the racquet ages it’s rather busy design helps conceal “battle scars.”

Good Sport or Bad Sport?
Merriam-Webster defines sportsmanship as conduct becoming to one participating in a sport; that conduct being, fairness, respect for one’s opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing. Wikipedia touts that good sportsmanship is when teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials treat each other with respect and that the real winners in sports are those who know how to persevere and to behave with dignity – whether they win or lose the game.

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Blade 98 (18 x 20)
After hitting with the new Wilson Blade 93 tennis racquet, I was understandably excited to hit with some of the other new frames in the Wilson line. I was thinking that the Blade 98 would be a nice frame for less experienced players. I cannot even begin to state how misplaced that youthful optimism was.

Tennis Racquet Review: Völkl Organix 7 295g
The new Volkl Organix 7 has two versions: 295g and 310g. This play-test is with the 295g (labeled 10.4 oz) and is intended to be the choice of players who desire a medium-weight racquet that offers some power without any sacrifice of control. It is a “tweener” racquet (between game improvement and a true “player’s” racquet).

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson Blade 93
For a long time now I have been off Wilson racquets. They have always made the best frames in my mind, in a historical sense, but the last few years a lot of their ‘player’ frames felt clunky and unwieldy. This was true even for someone who had played with Wilson racquets for much of his life and was therefore predisposed to give a new Wilson offering a favorable look.

Edwards Tennis Nets: You Don’t Hear About Them, Because They Work So Well
When it comes to managing sports facilities, it’s a great day when certain topics don’t come up. If you operated softball diamonds for championship tournaments, you wouldn’t want to deal with complaints about the dimensions of the playing fields. At the end of the tournament, it’s your hope that no one ever brings the matter up, because no one ever gives praise for a properly configured field. In tennis it’s no different. If tennis nets, posts and the court surface are not within specifications, people will complain but if they are reliable no one notices or comments.

Non-Profit Seeks to Make Tennis Backboards More Easily Available
Many campaigns have been launched in the name of improving diet and fitness in recent years. A few years ago, the National Football League started the Play 60 campaign encouraging children to be active at least 60 minutes a day in an effort to prevent child obesity. Former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop founded Shape Up America in 1994 to address obesity. Many other organizations dedicated to health and fitness like these were created to promote and educate the public about fitness and more healthy lifestyles. One of the more unusual ones, Project Tennis Backboard, seeks to make tennis backboards more available to the public.

OUCH! Isn’t Tennis Elbow Enough?
When you think of sports that require a lot of jumping, I’ll bet the last sport that crosses your mind is tennis; volleyball and basketball, yes, but tennis, unlikely. However, when it comes to Patellar Tendinitis, better known as Jumper’s Knee, no court sport seems to be spared. Just ask world class tennis Pro Rafael Nadal who has been suffering from this condition for years. Missing golden career opportunity, after opportunity, from the London Olympics and Wimbledon in 2009, to this year’s US Open in New York, this young athlete still holds an impressive 11 Grand Slam titles.

Is Bodybuilding Needed in Tennis?
If you look at Rafael Nadal’s physique, you can tell that he’s got some serious workout routines. The prominent biceps he has and those rock hard abs tell you that he’s been pretty busy not just at the court, but at the gym as well. You’re probably guessing that he’s doing some bodybuilding workouts.

Uber-simple, sports icon apparel company: Stick It Wear?!TM by Joe Durica
Stick It Wear?! pays homage to the fan re-creation of well known tennis player’s movements and moments. The shirts are adorned with stick characters or ‘smart figures’ that are directly inspired from the refined Olympic pictograms of the 60s and 70s. The subtle and suggestive use of smart figures evokes an elegance that translates into simple, witty and endearing images. They simplify our memories as we pass them from generation to generation of sports enthusiasts.

Top 5 Mental Training Exercises for Tennis
Training for any sport including tennis is as much about mental training as it is about physical training. These negative emotions, if unchecked, can have a negative impact on your performance. Fortunately, there are a great number of mental exercises that tennis players can perform to help prepare them for the mental aspect of the game.

My Trip to the U.S. Open: Babolat Tennis Bag Style
Like my visor? I got it at the U.S. Open last week. Now I know what you’re thinking, dogs are not allowed at the U.S. Open; why do you think I’m in this Babolat tennis bag?! It pays to be small… and powerful. Besides, I figured if Pierre Djokovic can hitch a ride on his human’s coat tails and go to Wimbledon, I might as well give it a shot, right? Good news, it worked!!

Tennis Racquet Review: Dunlop Biomimetic MAX 200G
They should just call this racquet the Dunlop John McEnroe model and be done with it. The simple reality of the thing is that only a gifted player with genius hands and feet is going to be able to maximize the design and features of this racquet. In my humble certainty; there is a very small main market for this racquet. I am sure that with that start, all will be surprised that, this is basically a rave review coming up.

Come for the Tennis, Stay for the Culture
Hard work, dedication, practice, sweat, skill, focus, endurance, excitement, victory, loss, tennis. There are probably hundreds of other words to describe this amazing sport. It dates back hundreds of years and has been a celebrated sporting event and tradition just as long. Played for both recreation and competition, tennis forms a life-long bond in the hearts of those who share its passion. This passion is brought to life at the Australian Open Tennis, the first of four yearly events in the Grand Slam which will kick off in January of 2013. This week-long event encompasses some of the most skilled tennis professionals there are and those who wish to celebrate the sport with them would be erroneous to miss this Open.

Yes Folks, Venus Williams Is Human.
Venus Williams proved over the weekend that she is human. After withdrawing from last year’s US Open, Venus announced that she suffers from Sjögren’s Syndrome. There is little known about this autoimmune disease but fatigue and joint pain are usually associated with it. Many people afflicted by Sjögren Syndrome visit a back specialist to help bring relief to persistent pain. According to the Mayo Clinic, Sjögren’s disease is extremely rare, affecting only about 1% of the population. Women are more affected by the disease than men, and most aren’t diagnosed until middle age.

Makin’ a Racket About My Tennis Racquet
When I was a novice player taking lessons in college, my first racquet was actually a gift. Let me rephrase that; it was more of a hand-me-down. But hey, I thought it was so cool, my first tennis racquet. That was in 1998 and they have come a long way, even since then. I still have that ol’ thing and have used it as a benchmark when reviewing or shopping for others up until the latest and greatest left my little guy in the dust.

Diamonds in the Rough
Finding a talented tennis player in the midst of so many average players is a challenge if you don't know what to look for. You will have to watch many tennis matches and tournaments to be able to see the minute differences between players at young ages. Junior tennis players always lack the polish that older players have, but that doesn't mean that some of them aren't on a higher plane than others. Studying the habits, tendencies, and abilities of certain players will enable you to figure out which players in the group will turn out to be the best.

Volkl Tennis Racquets, Known as the Tennis Elbow Racquets for Good Reason
Volkl tennis racquets feature some of the most advanced technology in tennis today, as well as a line of racquets that that covers all skill levels and other preferences. Volkl’s have always been known as the “tennis elbow” racquets, because of their prevention in arm injuries due to technology that softens and dampens shock, vibration, and other feedback. It begins with their DNX technology, which is a super-light as well as extremely strong carbon fiber material that you can find in all of their current racquets. These fibers are created to withstand maximum force applied at all angles, giving every shot the same feel. Having this feature in a tennis racquet means you’ll have a consistent touch with every shot, allowing your game to groove to whatever shots you’re hitting. The DNX technology has recently been improved on, leading us to the current generation of racquets, the Volkl Organix line.

What to Look for When Shopping for a Tennis Backboard
A practice tool in tennis can be as simple as a wall, but then again, all walls aren’t created equal. Tennis backboards provide great practice opportunities for people without access to a full court or a partner to return their shots. You may be wondering why a backboard would be needed when any simple flat surface would suffice, but the backboards being created have advantages like sloping as well as more sturdy materials to keep the surface from getting warped or chipped. In this article, I will discuss the materials you should look for in a backboard, the different types of sloping, the manufacturers that can make them, as well as some things to look out for if you are thinking about purchasing one. Old backboards were often made of wood or brick, which is more likely to warp with excessive moisture or heat.

A New Tennis Legend in the Making?
Many would say that Rafael Nadal is headed for super stardom. Some would say he is already there. But, the one thing every tennis fan can agree on is that Nadal is going to be a legend of the court. His career has been short, only beginning in 2002 at the tender age of 15. In April of that year he played his first career ATP match and won, defeating Ramon Delgado. He was only the 9th player in what is considered the Open Era to do this before the age of 16....

A Player’s Look at Dunlop Biomimetic Tennis Racquets
Anyone that knows Dunlop knows that the company has a history of producing technologically superior racquets for decades, and their newest line of racquets is no different. The Biomimetic series is their current line, and if you break down the word Biomimetic, then you`ll see the "bio" refers to things found in the natural world and “mimetic” is another way of saying mimic, so essentially, these racquets take the form of things found in nature......

Less Talk is More Before Your Kids Tennis Match
As a young junior player I was always nervous when it was competition time. My friends would add some extra pressure saying thinks like: "I know this guy; you should beat him in less than 20 minutes!", "Oh, you'll have an easy match!", "You beat him all the time in practice; it should be easy this time too!" or "This guy is number one seed; good luck!" etc. Whether you are a tennis player or a tennis parent who doesn't know what to tell his/her kid before a match, here is my personal suggestion...

Tennis Racquet Review: Wilson BLX Six.One 95 (16x18)
I have played with Wilson frames for much (most) of my time as a tennis player; many more years than I care to count at this stage in my life. And I am predisposed as a result to always give any Wilson product a serious hit just on general principle. For a few years though with the whole n-Code, let’s put out a thousand frames every 18 months, I was wondering what the real plan was at Wilson. This season...

Tennis Racquet Review: Prince EXO3 Warrior 100 (MP)
I have to say that I don’t really understand the Prince design process or their marketing plan. Maybe the biggest issue is that the latter drives the former. The Prince EXO3 Warrior is obviously a very big deal to this company. The racquet is used and endorsed by the brightest young American star player; John Isner. And it is obvious from the magazine ads in different tennis publications and...

User Friendly Tennis Tool Helps Master the Serve
For tennis players who aspire to perform and serve at the optimum level, the Total Serve is designed for you. Based on knowledge of physical movements and different sporting activities, owner and inventor Lisa Dodson has created a tool that educates players what the accurate tennis serve and throwing motion “feel like.” Lisa has enjoyed an illustrious career in tennis. For more then 30 years, she has played tennis professionally, coached, managed tennis clubs and acted as the USTA professional tournament director. She has coached tennis players as young as 5 and as old as 85! But for many years, she used a tube sock with 3 tennis balls in it to help players understand what the proper serve should feel like. The sock, however, did not have a solid grip. Lisa says, “I found so much success with my clients with this simple tool that I decided to make...

The Babolat Aero Pro Drive GT is another huge seller in the Babolat line, and the racquet used by Rafael Nadal(winner of the 2010 US Open-along with Wimbledon and the French Open this year). Prince EXO3 Tour 100 - 18 x 20 Tennis Racquet Review
I really liked this racquet. I don’t know what the deal is with Prince these days, because for years their frames felt way too flexible-too wide-too lacking in feel. I hit with this racquet for a couple of days teaching, and practiced with it for a couple of hours also. There is a lot to like about this frame.
The frame is the standard 27 inches long and weighs 11.6(the 10.9 ounce weight listed on the inside of the frame is useless information-since an unstrung racquet is useless) ounces strung. It has a 100 square inch head and an 18(mains) x 20(crosses) string pattern.
The first thing I noticed hitting with this racquet was that it felt solid and hefty in my hand. There was little vibration on contact, and it was easy to generate both pace and spin. The racquet is thin as traditional player’s frames are (something Prince seemed to have forgotten in recent years) and just seems to cut through the air without much resistance. It was very comfortable rallying with...

Dunlop Biomimetic 200 Tennis Racquet Review
I was hoping that I would like this racquet a lot. It felt hefty and solid when I picked it up, and even with the plastic shrink wrap still on the handle it was\is a very cool looking frame. It has a primarily black and blue paint job and sports a black Dunlop Sport grip. The racquet is the standard 27 inches long, has a 95 square inch head and according to the information on the frame and the Dunlop promotional materials weighs 11.89 ounces strung or 337 grams. Unfortunately I had a hard time getting the shrink wrap off an...

Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tennis Racquet Review
I recently play-tested another of the new "Biomimetic" racquets (200 Plus) and now it's time for the 300 playtest. If you haven't read my 200 Plus review, here is a synopsis of the brand-new technology that Dunlop is offering. Technology and engineering which is inspired by "Nature"! There are three unique features of a Biomimetic racquet: "AeroSkin"--a coating on the hoop--little raised bumps almost all-around (kinda feels like a basketball). Dunlop says these assist the racquet to travel faster through...

Prince EXO3 Tour 100 - 18x20 Tennis Racquet Review
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
- An attractive paint job with nice shiny metallic orange EXO grommets. Also a thin beam (21mm) and solid weight yet whippy and maneuverable. I couldn't wait to hit with the Tour 100, the headsize, 100 sq inches, and large round sweet spot looked like it would provide a fun demo ahead. I wasn't disappointed.
GROUNDSTROKES:
- The Tour 100 18x20 felt consistent and solid on forehands and backhands especially. It was very spin friendly and had less depth on shots then it sibling the 16x18 providing more margin on my shot, which I appreciated. It oozed with confidence thanks to the large strike zone on this thing. And it perfected top spin forehands and hard sliced backhands equally well which really impressed me and flat out made my wife want to switch her regular...

I got my pair of the Babolat Men's Propulse 3 shoes on my feet about 2 months ago. I know they had been out a little while but I had to burn through my old Barricade V's first. I am not hardest on shoes so it took a little while. However, I was really excited to try these shoes.

Prince EXO3 Tour 100 - 16x18 Tennis Racquet Review
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
- A nice thin beam and flashy paint scheme looked inviting when I first saw it. I was excited and very intrigued to see how this racquet performed. It looked like it had a huge sweet spot, which it did and had a good solid weight to it.
GROUNDSTROKES:
- It took me a little while to dial in my forehand with the Tour 100 16x18, Immediately I felt the racket had much more power then I am used too in my regular racquet. I adjusted and hit with about 75-85% of the normal power I would use and quickly realized that this racket was great for depth shots and spin. At 11.6 oz strung it is a nice solid baseliner's racquet. The sweet spot is large and "punchy" as I have found similar to many other Prince racquets with the EXO grommet system. My backhands felt accurate and the thin beam was comfortable to load-up with in preparation for the shot. I did notice that the Tour 100 was not nearly as stiff (rated 52) as I am used to and sometimes felt the "wobbling-lance" sensation after ...

Dunlop Biometric 200 Plus Tennis Racquet Review
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
- a thin beam (20 mm), attractive paint scheme, somewhat weighty racquet with slick dimples on the frame called Aeroskin, designed to reduce drag upon swinging. Also a 100 sq inch slightly rectangular head. At 11.5 oz it isn't overly heavy but it feels solid and meaty in your hands. Let's put it this way, after feeling it in my hands and then reading the specs, I expected it to way more than it did. And it's much lighter than it's brother the Biometric 200, it reports in at 11.9 oz and 95 square inches.
GROUNDSTROKES:
- Hitting with the Biometric 200 Plus was tricky at times. It was always solid but often felt "dead" to me. It's response sometimes seemed numb and even sounded muffled upon hits. Perhaps it was the unique carbon technology Dunlop is famous for and I hadn't yet gotten used to it's extreme dampening characteristics. It took some

Babolat Pure Storm LTD GT Tennis Racquet Review
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
- This is a beautiful player’s frame. Right away I noticed the thin 19 mm beam, egg-shaped small head size (95 sq inches), supple leather grip and overall appealing paint job. It felt somewhat heavy yet swinging it felt quick and responsive.
GROUNDSTROKES:
- Upon hitting with the Pure Storm Ltd, I noticed the precision it displayed on forehand shots. Easy access to spin yet could really perform flat shots without a hiccup. The maneuverability of this racquet shined on the backhand as well. It weighs in at 11.9 oz and has a relatively quick swing weight (rated at 305) and is rated at 12 pts head-light which gives the neck of the frame a real meaty feel to it. This racquet had exceptional plow-through characteristics and although the stiffness is...

Volkl Power Bridge 10 Light Tennis Racquet Review
The Power Bridge series of racquets is Volkl’s try at recapturing the share of the ‘players’ frame market that they used to have back in the day. The flagship Power Bridge 10 has a 93 square inch head, as does this light version. The Light weighs 10.9 ounces strung compared to the 12.1 heft of the regular model. Both frames are the standard 27 inches and have the fairly full 18 mains with 20 crosses string pattern.
Can you say old school or almost old school? This frame is fairly stiff and for sure reminds one of the old 90-95 square head racquets made by Prince and Wilson and Volkl before the materials became super light. Remember the old Volkl Tour 10 models and the Pro Staff 85 used by Pete Sampras? This racquet feels the same way when you start to hit with it. It has nice heft and balance and it is relatively easy to accelerate the racquet quickly on ground strokes and serves. Warming up and even

Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour Tennis Racquet Review
My first experience with this racquet was playing a competitive set. It is a little lighter than the racquet I am accustomed to playing with at 11.3 oz. The head size is 97in2, right in my comfort zone. I like racquets in the mid plus range because they still allow you to maintain control over the ball even with off-center hits. When I started out I felt I had control over the ball right away, but as soon as I wanted to do a little extra with the ball there was no response. The racquet felt dead with a very small sweet spot. If it were just slightly heavier it would improve the feel of stability and allow you to hit out at the ball a little harder.
Yet overall, the more I played with the racquet the more comfortable I became with it. If you’re satisfied with keeping your swing to a sensible level and you work hard on getting into the right position every time, this racquet will work for you. It is fun to

Dunlop Aerogel 4D 100 Tennis Racquet Review
This racquet should come with a warning tag. Something along the lines of “objects may be closer than they appear in the mirror” and/or “car is driven by a professional driver on a closed track-please do not try this at home in your living room”. Ya, I realize that last one is a little of a mix. But here is the deal. For a true 5.0 + player, with long swings and good fitness, and no history of arm problems, this racquet, if properly set up, may be an excellent choice. I can hear my 11th grade English teacher yelling at me about my use of commas here, but everything I have to say about this racquet is qualified.
When you pick this racquet up you can tell that it is serious equipment. It has a 90 square inch head, is the standard 27 inches long and weighs 11.6 ounces strung. It has a nice subdued cosmetic appearance, with...

Babolat Aero Storm GT Tennis Racquet Review
I picked up the new Babolat Aero Storm GT racquet the other day from DO IT TENNIS and headed for the Courts to mix it up a little in some doubles play.
The first thing I noticed was that it felt very well-balanced. The label says this 98" racquet is 7 points Head-Light--but it felt as if it was more evenly balanced--at least until I started doing some ground-strokes... WOW--does this racquet come-around FAST! It only weighs 10.7 ounces (unstrung), and with the "Aero Modular" Technology, combined with the...

Babolat Pure Storm Tennis Racquet Review
When I first played with this racquet I felt I could do no wrong. It felt great in my hand and the overall balance of the racquet seemed perfect. Seemingly, I could swing as hard as I wanted and the ball did exactly what I intended. I felt I had total control over the ball and this would be the racquet for my future. Then I started to look at the specs of the racquet to see why I liked the racquet so much in the beginning. The head size was 95 in2, the size I like; then I...

Head YOUTEK IG Speed MP 315 (16x19) Tennis Racquet Review
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: - This racquet is flat-out gorgeous in my opinion. Head kept this racquet classy yet flashy and the clear bumper is an awesome touch. The beam is relatively thin (20mm) and the racquet felt quick and whippy. The weight felt in the standard MP range of around 11.5 oz realm and it seemed very maneuverable.
GROUNDSTROKES: - This racquet was not very forgiving. You had to pin point your impact upon hitting with the IG Speed MP. At 100 sq inches, it's sweet spot seemed small for me but when I did, man did this thing hit some sweet shots. Lots of topspin and...

Babolat Aero Pro Drive Tennis Racquet Review
I had the opportunity to play test the new Babolat Aero Pro Drive racquet, a racquet Babolat describes as an "expert" player racquet. Although a bit anxious about being described an "expert", I decided to give it a go--and the personnel at "Do It Tennis" were very encouraging! The Aero Pro Drive is a relatively light-weight racquet--at 10.6 oz--and is balanced to generate racquet-head speed (7 pts. head-light). It's 100 sq. inch headsize is the same as my regular racquet, but, interestingly, looks a bit smaller. It might just be the aerodynamic shape of the hoop (& throat) that makes it appear different. Or maybe it's the very cool Yellow/Black/White graphics! When I first held the Aero Pro Drive it felt as if it were heavier than 10.6 oz.--I even checked the label to verify it's weight. But after a few strokes I realized how...

Prince EXO3 Tour 100 Tennis Racquet Review
In law school professors often rebut and deflect particularly vague or off track comments by students, with the comment ‘that is a distinction without a difference’. When I first hit with this frame that was an initial thought, especially since I had recently hit with and reviewed the same racquet model in the 18 main\20 crosses configuration. But as I played with this racquet for a longer period of time, and listened to the comments of my students and other people who hit with it, I realized that the 16 main\18 cross configuration was really a huge difference in this instance. This model is...

I got my hands on the new HEAD YouTek Radical Oversize (107") racquet the other day from "Do It Tennis" in Oceanside, CA. This racquet immediately felt comfortable to hold (I used to play only with HEAD racquets and their unique handle shape--a bit more rectangular-- was like shaking hands with an old friend!).

Prince EXO3 White Tennis Racquet Review
I have to say up front that I was predisposed to not like this racquet. I was sponsored by Prince for a while a few years back, and not only did I not like the racquets that much, I found the roundish shape of the handles to be problematic. So the first thing I noticed when I picked this racquet up to hit with it, was the nice squarish traditional type panels on the grip and the textured grip material which made the handle very easy to grip and very comfortable to play with. Then I started playing min-tennis with a junior player to warm them up for their lesson and we were having longer rallies than usual right away, largely because I could spin the ball with a softer spin and a higher loop with this racquet right away. The kid I was hitting with has a spin based game already and before long we were hitting from corner to corner, land the ball in the middle of the service box and trying to out-spin the other person with severe spin and angle. It was really fun and I think that is the thing I like best about this frame. It is just a fun racquet to hit with.
