Babolat Men’s Propulse 3 Tennis Shoe Review

Prince EXO3 Red 105

I got my pair of the Babolat Men's Propulse 3 shoes on my feet about 2 months ago. I know they had been out a little while but I had to burn through my old Barricade V's first. I am not hardest on shoes so it took a little while. However, I was really excited to try these shoes.

I got them in the red color. The red on these shoes is kind of one of those colors that people really like or they really hate. I thought the color was sweet looking but a few of our customers and employee's did not agree with me. Anyways, I finally got them on and have been using them for the past 2 months. My first impression was that this was a nice upgrade to the Propulse 2. It seemed a little meatier. What this means is there seemed to be a little more support in and around the outside of the shoes. This was important to me because I felt like the Propulse 2's were a little thin and so they did not supply that much lateral support when moving east to west.

To me the most important part about a tennis shoe is the lateral stability. I love to run after the tennis ball and it is very important that when I plant my foot the shoe helps me stop to hit the ball and gives me enough support to bounce back. In the Propulse 3 I felt that there was much more lateral stability, than the Propulse 2. The break in time was very short (just a matter of hours). The shoe has held up really well and I feel like I can get another 2-3 more months out of it. I play 2-3 times a week so to hold up for this long a time under rigorous conditions is very nice.
