Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour Tennis Racquet Review

Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour

My first experience with this racquet was playing a competitive set. It is a little lighter than the racquet I am accustomed to playing with at 11.3 oz. The head size is 97in2, right in my comfort zone. I like racquets in the mid plus range because they still allow you to maintain control over the ball even with off-center hits. When I started out I felt I had control over the ball right away, but as soon as I wanted to do a little extra with the ball there was no response. The racquet felt dead with a very small sweet spot. If it were just slightly heavier it would improve the feel of stability and allow you to hit out at the ball a little harder.

Yet overall, the more I played with the Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour the more comfortable I became with it. If you’re satisfied with keeping your swing to a sensible level and you work hard on getting into the right position every time, this racquet will work for you. It is fun to volley with and it allows you more touch at the net, without giving up confidence on ground strokes. The second time I used the racquet while teaching, it was soft on your arm and easy to control balls on slower swings. You could still get the ball to a good length and not have to worry about losing any control.  This racquet is best suited to an all-court player who likes to play both singles and doubles. Its soft feel makes it a comfortable to play with for longer periods of time. I would recommend this racquetfor a 3.5-5.5 rated player.
