Enjoy Your Holiday Feast Guilt Free

Winter Workouts - Fight Holiday BingeChristmas is another one of those holidays where you marathon eat, not just for one day, but sometimes multiple days, or weeks in a row! You go from house to house, party to party and dinner to dinner just to realize that you put on the holiday bulge before you even opened the first gift. Well, do not fear. Here is a quick, but effective, workout routine that will burn plenty of calories and help you feel a little less guilty about all the cookies, cakes and hot cocoa.

The Holiday Binge Busting Workout

Warm Up
  • Run the sidelines shuffle the baselines (5 or more times)
  • High knees the length of the court
  • Butt kickers on the way back
  • Toe touches the length of the tennis court
Begin Workout (2-3 sets of 10 reps each)
  • Push Ups
  • Sit ups/ crunches
  • Burpees
  • Jumping jacks (1 Minute)
  • Alternating lunges(each leg)
  • Mountain climbers (1 Minute)
  • Rest (1 Minute)
This completes one round. Do as many rounds as you would like or feel comfortable with.

Complete the workout with stretching for a cool down.

If you aren’t near a tennis court, you can do the warm up drills stationary by running in place and do side lunges instead of shuffles. Do this workout leading up to and after your Christmas feast(s) to help prevent the holiday bulge. After all, swimsuit season is only five months away!
