Tennis String Review: Volkl Cyclone Tour String (red)

Volkl Cyclone Tennis String

This is great in terms of textured string that is designed to provide more spin and control. According to Volkl, it is a co-poly string which is designed to provide high levels of both spin and power. I think that is a very accurate description.

I strung this mid-range on a Babolat Pure Drive Roddick frame- about 60 pounds. I liked the feel of this string right away. There is a very soft ball pocket with this string and it was easy to both spin the tennis ball and pound it with good levels of control and comfort.

The only downside is that there is a big drop off in feel and control with this string if you miss the sweet spot. And at the end of the string life the size of the sweet spot was reduced in a very critical and noticeable way. I thought this string did have decent durability given the high-quality of string which for it is designed.
